Fiverr's own pages give two different numbers for the same fee

This is not our interpretation — it is what their pages currently say. We show both, so you can see exactly what we are choosing between.

Why we default to $3.50 / $200.00: The Payments Terms are a legal document and carry an explicit date ("As of September 2025"). The Seller FAQ has no date and contradicts them. We default to the legal terms, but show both versions below.

Frequently asked questions

Why do Fiverr's own pages show two different numbers for the small order fee?
Their Payments Terms and their Help Center both say $3.50 on orders under $200.00, while their Seller FAQ page still says $2.50 on orders under $75. The Payments Terms carry an explicit date ("As of September 2025") and the Help Center agrees with them, so we default to those — but both versions are linked on our data sources page.
Does Fiverr take 20% of tips?
Yes. The 20% seller commission applies to tips and extras exactly as it does to the gig price. Use the tip calculator to see it.
How much does a buyer actually pay?
The gig price, plus a 5.5% service fee, plus a $3.50 small order fee if the order is under $200.00. Buyer calculator →
What should I charge so I actually receive a set amount?
Divide what you want to keep by 0.8 — or just use the reverse calculator.
Is there a "processing fee" on top of the 20%?
No. Fiverr does not charge sellers a separate payment processing fee. Some third-party calculators show a "2%–5% processing fee", which does not exist on the seller side.
Does Fiverr charge the same on every order size?
The seller commission is flat — no tiers, no discounts. The small order fee only applies to buyers, and only on orders under $200.00.
How current are these numbers?
Everything on this site was verified on 2026-09-22. Every figure links to the page it came from, and the verification date is always shown next to the calculation.
Do you store what I type?
No. The math runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and there is no account or sign-up. See our privacy page.
